Santa's Castle in Menthon-Saint-Bernard

The Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard, an architectural jewel overlooking Lake Annecy, is hosting the 4th edition of Santa's Castle this year, on the theme of enchanted gardens. The event runs from 15 November 2024 to 4 January 2025, and is open every day.

Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard: a regional icon

Situated on the eastern shore of Lake Annecy, in the village of Menthon-Saint-Bernard, this medieval castle impresses with its elegant architecture and commanding position overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. Still inhabited by the descendants of the founding family, it bears witness to a rich regional history. Each room reflects an era, while its gardens, offering a unique panorama, are transformed into a Christmas park for the occasion.

A rich and varied programme

  • Family activities: Creative workshops, treasure hunts and guided tours to immerse you in the history of the château.
  • Festive encounters: With Father Christmas and his reindeer, on hand every day until 6.45pm.
  • Entertainment: Aerial shows, concerts, and a craft market to discover local talents and products.
  • Relaxation areas: An open-air ice rink and nine food stalls for a convivial break. You'll find a variety of dishes: Savoyard fondues, seafood platters, burgers, homemade ravioli, raclette sandwiches, poutines, tartiflettes, diots, snails, as well as crêpes, waffles and biscuits. Champagne, Savoyard wines, local beers and mulled wines will also be available to accompany these delicacies.
